This time it's Her Majesty's Revenue department (note, not HMRC) with a time critical message. Either myself or my solicitor must call the number above within an undisclosed time frame or they will be forced to start legal action.

All of this is delivered by a hard to understand recorded message.

Needless to say, I ignored it.  I wonder what the legal action will be?

I wouldn't lose any sleep about it.

provided they keep their calls to daylight hours I won't lose any sleep. Even if they call after dark I probably won't hear it either.

Interestingly, call number three just came in, taken by Heather and she thinks it was a live call as there was so much hesitation. Also this time it was Her Majesty's customs and came from an overseas number.

I had a letter purporting to be from the inland revenue the other day. Buff envelope from the Tax Refund Department saying I was due a tax refund. Reading the small print they were asking for a fixed fee to do a search, plus 25% of any monies recovered.. I sent it back in the reply paid envelope with a spoonful of my granddaughter's glitter left over from Christmas.. We're still cleaning it up in our house six months after opening the packet...
