Nothing broke, nothing fell off!
Returned home yesterday after exactly 4 weeks of touring. From home in North Wales we travelled up the west coast of Scotland, across the North Coast, down part of the East Coast, back through Yorkshire onto Lincolnshire (for family get-together rally) and back to North Wales. 2025 miles, average 30mpg and as stated above, nothing broke or fell off.

We had a great time, great weather despite the forecast of snow when we left home, we didn't see any, great scenery (we think we live in a good area for scenery but not a patch on the Highlands). 14 sites most CAMC and C&CC, all good.roli wrote:Take it you both enjoyed yourselves
4 weeks to next trip.

None at all. Only saw a few on one evening when sunny and no wind on Skye. Obviously a good time of year to go to Scotland.burlingtonboaby wrote:Nice to see you both back safe and sound , any midge bites?

Funny how just like us the older motorhomes get the more reliable they seem to become.. glad you had a good trip, time to start planning the next one now!

Sounds like an epic journey Paul and surely that's what retirement is all about.
Did you hop off to any of the islands off the west coast on your trip?
We're hoping to do a 3-weeker in September, possibly hopping off to Mull.

We had been to Mull two years ago so didn't go again. We did go to Skye for 3 days, visiting Dunvegan castle and our first taste of 'single track road with passing places' which I loved to bits, from Uig to Staffin.nuevoboy wrote:Sounds like an epic journey Paul and surely that's what retirement is all about.

Not quite a four week holiday but a seven day holiday (three sites) and nothing fell off my new Nuevo (registered 1/2/17) just for the record.
