Chrome Wheel trims Empty Chrome Wheel trims

Post by Peterm Sun May 07, 2017 10:57 pm

Hi Folks,

About 2 years ago I bought a set of 15" chrome effect wheel trim at a show for my Nuevo. They are now absolutely ruined with discolouration and peeling. I would like a new set for the summer, and I wonder if anyone has any experience of buying ones that are not rubbish? Anyone know anything about getting real chrome, and how it weathers?

Thanks

Hi,
When the trims on our Gatcombe started to crack I replaced them with a set of " beauty rings" ! hugegrins
These used to be known as rimbellishers in days of yore ! Painted the steel wheels and the centre caps and fitted the 'rings. Look quite nice !
The ones I bought were from Just Kampers , 15" stainless steel.
I was going to put a pic. on but it has disappeared into the inter web void confused3

I fitted a set of lacquered silver ones off ebay 3 years ago, they still look as good as new. I don't think chrome effect ones are a good idea in this situation, road salt, flexing etc.
