2011 Bourton alarm?

I've just checked our new (to us) vans VIN number on vindecoderz.com. The results were very interesting especially as the van appears to have a factory alarm system fitted by Mercedes. Is this correct? I assume that a factory fitted alarm would only protect the cab area and we would need a 'proper' motorhome system to fully cover the vehicle.

Yes the Bourton does have a Mercedes fitted alarm but it is not Thatcham category class1, which most insurers require,  we also have a Vanbitz Strikeback alarm fitted to ours which is as good as they get.

I have an Autowatch 695RLC alarm which is a Thatcham Cat 2-1 upgrade to the standard MB Alarm/immobiliser. It is fully integrated so no seperate fob, all works off the standard MB key.

I've just been on the Autowatch website and the motorhome system looks very good. No prices though, and no dealer lists. Who fitted your system?

Mine was fitted by Martyn Blackwell, (07971 165747) before I bought the Gloucester.
