Highly unlikely but I don't know for certain.
Normal operation is to "split (the) charge" from the alternator to both batteries when the van in running and then when plugged into the mains, EITHER split the charge from a power supply to both batteries or select the battery being charged via a manual switch or an intelligent controller.
The two batteries are normally isolated from each other so that the vehicle battery remains charged allowing you to start the van after a long time camped up.

No, and it could well prove disastrous if it did. Dave's caveat is spot on.richardfranklyn wrote:hi does the vehicle battery charge the leasure battery on a 05 peugot boxer nuevo.regards Rick
Just imagine that you are staying on (say) and aire in France for a few days without hook-up. You could be happily using electricity without realising the vehicle battery was providing some of the power and running down - then you turn the key to start the engine!!!
If the leisure battery goes flat it's inconvenient. If the vehicle battery is flat you are stuck!! This is why you have both, and they are entirely separate - well, almost! If you have a Battery Master (or similar) fitted, the leisure battery will automatically top up the vehicle battery to help avoid the problem already mentioned. This is most useful when the van is unused for a while but on hook-up. You set the panel to charge only the leisure battery, and the Battery Master looks after the vehicle battery with no further adjustment of the panel settings.
Hope this helps

If your control panel is like the photo. You have 3 positions when on hookup, charge habitation, charge vehicle, or all off.
I always leave it to charge habitation and have a battery mate fitted,
