Symbol 2016 solar panel pre wiring
Hi
I have just purchased a 2016 Symbol, and would like to install a 100w solar panel. I understand that the Sargent E500 PSU (fitted under the cooker) will control the solar power input to charge both the leisure and vehicle batteries as required.
Does anyone know if the E500 PSU has been prewired to a suitable connection point e.g. in the wardrobe by Autosleepers, and where that point may be?
Look forward to receiving any advice or comments.

I do not know the layout of the Symbol, but if you email Mark at A/S he will be able to help you.
I asked him where the other end of the solar cable plugged in on my EC500 and was told not to look for it as it was behind the wardrobe and was not accessible! He did give me some tips for the routing of the cable, a very helpful guy.
You can buy the correct cable direct from Sargent, which plugs directly onto the PCB.
Mine works fine charging both batteries, be sure to leave the PSU switched on though, otherwise it will not switch over.

Re: Symbol 2016 solar panel pre wiring
Thank for the info Richard.
I found the solar input link at the back of the EC500 panel via a solar panel controller as advised by Sargent. I will purchase the cable and plug from Sargent.
Do you have Mark at A/S contact details? I have looked for A/S Technical contact details without much success. I will try phoning customer Services again on Monday.
Thanks again
Peter
