2016 Symbol solar panel
Hi
Has anybody got any info on fitting solar panel to 2016 Symbol
1. what size can you fit?
2. I believe that the control unit is already fitted but where is it and how do you wire it up?
3. where is the best place to fit it?
4. what type of brackets do you use fix it to roof?
5. cable run and where to drill holes
any info would be great
Many Thanks from a New member

Re: 2016 Symbol solar panel
Hi, I have also asked this question and had some reply's but still undecided, so lets hope you get some advice.
I also understand that the EC 500, if that's the one you have, is capable of panels up to 120w and will charge both batteries as required. I have not got any wiring information or what plugs are required.

Sargent sell the wiring loom with connectors (MC4 at the panel end) on their website at £12.42. It should just plug into the unused solar connector on the underside of the EC500 controller (or EC325/328).

On my Lancashire (without solar panel) the cable is plugged into the EC328 and the ends are left (insulated) in the conduit in the wardrobe.
