Step and awning light operation on key unlock

Being a relatively new owner (a few weeks!) of a 2014 auto sleeper symbol I am still learning some of its finer points!! According to the manual (haha) the step and the awning light should be able to be set to work when you unlock the van. I have the step and the light set to 'both' in the control panel but they only work manually. It would be nice if the awning light came on when unlocking the van on a dark winters night. I consider this a nice to have rather than vital but cannot get it to work, whether I am missing something simple or it's just not actually a capability of this van I am unsure.......... Otherwise both work fine!

Do you have an EM50 unit box (usually behing the driver's seat). If so step/light operation is controlled from there with jumpers.
