Microwave overheating
Hello all. The microwave cooker fitted in my Devon keeps shutting down during use. This mainly happens when cooking jacket potatoes. I have mentioned this to another owner who stated his did the same thing under similar circumstances. His van was still under a year old so was getting it sorted by dealer. I think the problem is ventilation related. Either too little or obstructed by dust etc. I contacted the makers by e.mail from France and to date (over 3 weeks later ) I have had no reply. Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you sort it. I contacted Marquis who stated it needed a new unit and as it required the cabinet being dismantled to fit, it needed to come to a dealer. They declined to tell me how to do this. I simply cannot believe the microwave is built in and that the supporting shelp cannot be simply dropped to facilitate removel... Advice please.

Re: Microwave overheating
I'm not able to help but in the summer ours also overheated when cooking two "ready meals" in quick succession. Ours is normally only used to warm up veg and is able to do that without problems.
When I asked on here if others had this problem a few did and one pointed out that it was a problem reported on other make van's forums too.
I have reported it to my dealer but I haven't been able to replicate the fault yet. In the Nuevo there is a small grill on the side of the microwave cabinet and I am tempted to try and get a small fan fitted there.

Hi , we haven't had this problem. but I do remember on this forum someone else wanted to remove their microwave and it was mentioned that it is fixed from underneath by I think 2 bolts hidden by the sticky patches that A/S use . So you wouldn't need to dismantle any furniture!! Hope my memory banks haven't failed me!! Best of luck ! Regards Paul
