Cobra Bridge 4400 CAN alarm - 'bonnet open'
My 2010 Broadway EK has a Cobra alarm which sets OK but sometime later, the alarm goes off. When I open vehicle and look at the little round alarm button it flashes three times, which the user manual says indicates 'bonnet open' but its not!! Strangely, the alarm can be set and protecting my MH all night etc, but when the sun is on the front of the vehicle for a while, the alarm triggers!! Very frustrating (especially for neighbours!!). Advice please if anyone has had this problem or knows why it does it and better still, knows a cure. Thanks

Never had the problem so others may have a better reason, but from the sounds of it the microswitch under the bonnet needs adjustment.
It's probably only just making contact, so as the sun heats the bonnet and it flexes with expansion it breaks the contact.
Have a look for the microswitch and a small tweak to move it closer to the bonnet 'button' that makes contact with it should do the trick.

Probably some corrosion on the switch which is likely NOT to be a microswitch but an old fashioned courtesy light switch easily obtained from any motor factor or Halfords. Normslly they have spade terminals. You may have to cut its button to get the right travel.

Yes Ron, it is the old fashioned courtesy light switch thingy. Will try what you suggest. Only had MH this month so may pass problem onto MH supplier.
Thanks
