Easy Lifter-Hydra Trail
I realise that there are already discussions in relation to the Easy Lifter Hydra Trail but I was wondering in anyone has recently purchased or is currently using one of these? If so could I please have your comments/views of this unit. It appears to have good and bad reviews for various different reasons. Therefore any up to date reactions/info would be useful as I am considering buying one of these units.

Re: Easy Lifter-Hydra Trail
Bit disappointing that no one has come back to me on this topic. Anyway I put the question to the Department for Transport regarding the suitability of the Hydra Trail to use on the highway. Their advice was against purchasing this unit as in their opinion it contravenes the law as it fits rigidly to a vehicle and cannot move left and right, as would a trailer. This effectively makes the vehicle a six wheeled vehicle and as such all wheels need to be braked. Therefore as there are no brakes on the Hydra Trail this would contravene the law.
Does anybody have any comments on this?

Interesting that the DoT don't recognise it.
I'm looking at a few options just now for taking a scooter and the last thing I want is the hassle of reversing/jack knifing a trailer, so this was an option (all be it an outside option).
Guess it's going to be an AL-KO or maybe a PWS rack attached to the chassis.

I have looked several rack options but my van won't take the weight. My scooter is 180kg so I think I will be going for a standard trailer like the ERDE pm 310 motorcycle trailer.

That's heavy for a scooter - the AL-KO takes a 150kg scooter and looks like it might be suitable for the Boxer.
