New to ASOF
Thanks for adding me to ASOF Forum....We have had our 1995 Peugeot Boxer based Symphony for a month now and have her almost ready for a few trips.... We are having a wee problem trying to replace the internal ceiling lights with led lights, any advice would be most welcome... also is there one of these light that are 12v/240v ? Ian spellar.

Hi
Go to "Search" then "Advanced Search" then type "LED Lights" in the Google search box and you'll find loads of info from previous threads, but why do you want to replace the 240 Volt fitting?
Usually LED replacements are fitted to save battery power but the 240V light will only be available on hook-up so there is no real advantage in replacing it.

Re: New to ASOF
If I put in a 12v led fitting in the position that the 240/12v light is , will I have to alter the wiring ?

Hi
As Paul says the centre light will be 240V. There won’t be a 240/12V light, they’ll be either 12V or 240V. So to replace the 240V light with a 12V version you would need to safely terminate (or preferably remove) the 240V cable and run a 12V supply.
I’d think carefully before you change it though. The 240V will only work when on hook-up but there is normally more than enough light from the other 12V fittings. If you ever get problems with the 12V charger or battery at least you still have 240V lighting (assuming you’re on hook-up of course).
I haven’t seen a direct replacement LED fitting so you would probably end up converting the original, or fitting a completely different type of light.
