Hello everyone at ASOF
Hi everyone, My name is Frank Sutherland and my wife Margaret and I have just purchased our first ever Auto-sleeper which we will take delivery of on 10th November. We are from Dunbeath, Caithness in the very far North of Scotland and have been travelling around in our (am I allowed to say it?) Burstner Solano since retiring in May 2010.
The Burstner, although very comfortable, was at 7.4m long, a bit too large for us with all the usual manoueverability issues and so we decided to downsize. After many hours online and several visits to our nearest dealer (Perthshire Caravans) we eventually settled for the Auto-sleeper Kingham model which still gives us the fixed bed option.
We have to say that the finish looks superb and we were taken with many of the extras such as the underfloor mounted LPG tank and AL-KO Air-Top assisted suspension etc. However we will have to wait until on the road before we can give a definitive opinion. Meanwhile we are just looking forward to taking delivery and hopefully being able to access places we avoided with the larger van.
Looking forward to giving fellow Auto-sleeper owners a big cheery wave in the passing.

Welcome from a fellow Dunbeather. Well I was born in Dunbeath but left when I was a few months old but I still reckon I come from Dunbeath. Next time I an north I will keep a look out for a parked motor home and if you see an elderly Autosleeper next spring give us a wave.
