Wheelclamps for Nuevo ES?
We have just brought home our motorhome which is parked outside our house and just fits (as planned). However the Bulldog wheelclamp we bought didn't fit, and we are now thinking we have to find the nearest store that will sell one that does. The wheels have a clip on cover which covers most of the wheel. The tyre size is 215/70 R15c. A) what have other Nuevo owners been using? B) where are the shops that sell them nearest to Portsmouth, Hampshire? There is the fitted immobiliser and an alarm but I'd like that visual deterent too.

This is what I have. (Not a photo of my van) They are expensive but so was your van I expect. I don't know any shops in Portsmouth but http://www.chichester-caravans.co.uk/ are near you at Nutbourne. You'll need a M15 I think but check. I use Chichester Caravans up here near Droitwich and have always found them very helpful. Give them a ring

Thanks Rose. Funnily enough I just rang them but the only one they had was the one we tried but didn't fit! I think we may either have to take a chance and get this on mail order or go to the Romsey show and try and get one there next week.

Would a Disklok steering wheel clamp be more of a deterrent? The thief would have to break into the van before he could attack it, with (presumably) the alarm blaring all the time.

The road wheel clamp could be attacked without setting off the alarm, so once removed the thief is in and away very quickly.
All this assumes of course that he has a key or can otherwise overcome the immobiliser and steering lock. I guess some of the smarter thieves will have everything they need, and if they really want to steal a motorhome they will have it. The secret is to make yours more difficult than the one next door!!
Don't know? It's an impossible area for making informed decisions, as there are so many "best ever" security devices on the market.

To get an idea of the different quality wheel clamps have a look at the Towsure web site
http://www.towsure.com/security/caravan-wheel-clamps
I have a nemesis wheel clamp which is very solid is very heavy and clamps to both sides of the wheel so it you have steel wheels you would need to take off the wheel cover.
I bought mine local second hand (think it was on Gumtree) for less than £50.
Would recommend only minus point you have to get on your hands and knees to fit it/take it off
