Devon auto sleeper
Hi to all
We have just bought a Devon 2011 auto sleeper and collect next Saturday
It has automatic transmission just wonder if any one has one and what they are like to drive especial up and down hills.
Also the space seems compact and storage not as much as we like but we downsized because we needed a van we could park easier and can't do gear changes now as hand injury
Please any tips tricks and the like would be welcome as we have a road trip coming up south coast to Wales Yorkshire dales and Derbyshire

As far as the Merc Auto Box is concerned I have only heard good things. Lots of owners rally with them on grass fields

Difficult without blithering on and boring the pants of everyone. Since you have downsized you are obviously not a novice at the game.perdy22 wrote:Please any tips tricks and the like would be welcome as we have a road trip coming up south coast to Wales Yorkshire dales and Derbyshire
Can you be a bit more specific? Otherwise you could wrestle with the search facility, which is not very good but it will find you plenty of hints and tips if you have a browse. All the questions have been asked before (most of them several times) so it's just a matter of settling down for an hour's enjoyable reading.
Enjoy the trip. It's a lovely van - ours is virtually identical but on the Peugeot chassis.
Dave
P.S. What's an Autosleeper Deon??

Gromit
I have spent hours looking on site for another Devon autosleeper and have only found one other owner from a post about 5 years ago
What I mean is to talk to another owner about details
Thanks anyway

If you go to Memberlist, sort by model, on page 69 it lists many Devon owners.

But hardly any of them post anything and only two have visited the forum this month. Perhaps Devon owners have little to ask and are happy with their purchase.PLOUGHLIN wrote:If you go to Memberlist, sort by model, on page 69 it lists many Devon owners.

Since the Devon is a Nuevo on a Merc chassis, the OP should be able to get all the tips he wants from owners of Nuevos, plus owners of small vans on a Merc Auto chassis.
If he wants to hear only from other Devon owners it looks as if he's going to be disappointed.
