Dog enclosure ideas?
Hi, we are wanting to purchase some kind of dog enclosure / windbreaks for when we don't put up the awning so that they don't have to be tethered all the time. Also one naughty boy has a bad habit of barking at any thing that moves which then sets off the other dogs, so reducing his visibility is quite important for a peaceful life all around. On our trip away last week we kept getting disapproving looks from 'neighbours' so naughty boy kept being put inside. Not ideal. They are spaniels and not escape artists and would stay close to us if left to their own devices, so what ever it is does not need to fit ultra snug against the van. However we do all need to be able to somehow get out of the 'enclosure'.
Any ideas?
As an aside...there is so much choice where to post a topic on this Forum so my apologies if I have posted in the wrong category

I have seen dedicated enclosures at the shows, don`t know who makes them though, they were fold up ones ideal for touring.

Friend of ours who has 3 Jack Russell has a fancy windbreak system which includes a gate. It has metal poles not only for the uprights but also top and
bottom, I know that she bought the whole system at Malvern Motorhome show but had a search and there are a few companies who do it.
Not cheap though
To stop them going under the van she has bought a couple of those cheap folding trellis from the pound shop

Re: Dog enclosure ideas?
As said the pukka windbreak type systems aren't cheap and the metal posts are quite heavy when bunched together. We used a folding metal mesh puppy pen (rather blurry in the avatar pic), now used to corral our daughter's chickens, but that doesn't get over the visibility, or indeed the weight issue.
We now rely on tie-outs and asking for a pitch where there's little passing 'traffic'.

Hi we have a wire hair fox terrier who barks at noises ! We have bought a Jormax wind break. It's extremely substantial & can include a dog gate. There are different variations. Excellent product we bought at the Malvern show. They don't exhibit at larger shows due to cost of stand. Their carriage charge is reasonable.
Only downside because they are so substantial they are a little heavy. Excellent product worth the money !
