When I contacted Watling about a type approved tow bar for our Bourton they said couldn't be done. Went to Armitage in Yorkshire.

Watling's Price list for Motorhome tow bars lists a price for a AS Bourton on MB MWB chassis.
Perhaps they have now sorted one.

I have a Towtall on my Gloucester, well engineered. http://www.towtal.co.uk/motorhome-towbars/type-approved-towbars

Yes we were successful. As I have no intention of towing I had a rear bumper bar fitted (with a towball) to this I have fitted an Armitage mobility scooter rack. I also have a Thule rack to carry two electric bikes. The mobility scooter rack can carry a max of 100kg and the bike rack 50 kg. The towbar is rated at 100 kg max. I had my Bourton uprated from 3500kg mgw to 3800 kg mgw. I have weighed the van on a weighbridge and fall well within the 3800 kg limit but above the 3500 limit. The back axle is also within the specified limit. I have standard rear suspension without air assistance. Contact Armitage trailers they are very helpful. They do a type approved towbar but it is very expensive.
