Warwick Duo fitting extra rear lights
Help required please - I am trying to fit extra rear lights, (stop light, side light and indicator). I have wired connections from the existing wiring, the indicator light works, but when the side light is connected the van side lights go out and only work again when engine is re-started. I am assuming the wiring is correct (if anyone has the wiring colour codes that would help to make sure I have the right cables).

You'll need to install a towbar type bypass relay as you can't just extend the wiring to the new lights. It will need it's own 12v supply which you can pick up from the accessory socket at the rear offside. If you remove the panel on which the accessory socket is situated you can mount the relay in the cavity behind. All the circuits you need will be there, other than the nearside indicator. With this you'll need to run a cable from the nearside indicator to the relay.
Relays can be picked up on eBay for £10 or so.

I'm probably being dense but I'm intrigued. Why would you want to fit extra rear lights to an existing set-up that fully complies with Construction and Use regs?

I have fitted a big white box to the cycle rack and I believe the box obscures the existing off side rear lighting hence the need for extra lighting.steamdrivenandy wrote:I'm probably being dense but I'm intrigued. Do you have the Fiamma bike rack? If so, there is a higher and a lower fitting. If you use the higher one, it should not obscure the lights.

ADDITIONAL REAR LIGHTS
I am also interested in fitting two seperate red tail lights to my Warwick that work with the front 'Riding lights' (and possibly the number plate.)
Would this system do the job, or has anyone done a similar installation?
PS: I am a low-tech installer!!
