I would like a rear storage box for my AS Executive which will take 2 brompton folding bikes. Has anyone any knowledge of storing bromtons ?

Plenty of people have adapted a Fiamma top box to fit on the rear bike rack but I suspect that your Bromptons won't come anywhere near fitting into it. They come with a bag, don't they? You may well end up having to load them on the rack like that. After addressing the security issues!

Hi All
Don't know how many people would like to know but the Fiamma 320 back box will take 2 Brompton folding bikes - although one of them has to be put in upside down... they fit where the touch! There is space either side of them for some odds and ends as well.

Re: storage boxes
back box aint going to take up anymore space really than fitting a bike rack and installing 2 bikes on it. Never had a ferry company yet measure our exact length
Thanks for the info Billy :) all knowledge helps someone somewhere

I never thought of that; and never included the bike rack in the calculation of length!
Thinking about it, the bonnet of the car behind would fit under the bike rack anyway! Problem solved!
Best regards,

I've seen vans being measured at the Uig - Lochmaddy and the Armadale - Mallaig ferry terminals.

Calmac's a pretty big company, they probably have more vessels than any of the others.
