Disklok Size? Empty Disklok Size?

Post by Greyhound Wed Mar 02, 2016 9:27 am

Hi,

I finally have a collection date for the Nuevo (Sunday week) so starting to get excited and thinking of the things i'll need to get ready for a trip away the following week.

I'd like to get a Disklok for security when out and about (I have a Bulldog wheel clamp for the driveway but it's too heavy and cumbersome for travelling with) and just wanted to know if anyone has one and what size fits.

Assume it's the large size (41.5 - 44cm) but not 100% so wondered if anyone knows either the correct size lock or knows the steering wheel diameter for the boxer?

Thanks all :)

I was in a similar position a year ago with our new Symbol. I actually went to the dealer and measured the steering wheel of the Boxer at 39cm which was the max size for the small Disklok.
I bought a small one in readiness for the day of delivery only to find it was just a little too small so I resold it!
I need to go for the larger size but haven't yet got round to it!

Thanks John,

I have the small version on my car and it did look like it would be a bit snug, so a large it is then :)

Cheers,
Rob.

I think the next size up is called MEDIUM which I think has a max of about 41cm - the was the one I was planning to get.

Have fun,

Ah Ok - looks like it's best to wait until I pick the Nuevo up next week then to be on the safe side.

No rush I guess :)

Cheers.

Disklok is the only one that will deter a serious thief, then only for 117 secs to remove, other types take only 3 seconds quicker if you cut the wheel rim.

Has anyone fitted a Disklok to a steering wheel that has a slip on leather cover fitted?

I ask because my old  Milenco one will not fit due to the extra thickness of the wheel.

I suppose I could go to Halfords and get them to have a try.
Thanks
