Thanks for that Paul.
One of ours has just failed and I was contemplating going down the LED route, but at this price....well, what do you reckon.

Re: 8w fluorescent tubes at Homebase
Just popped into our local Homebase and they had 6 in stock, so I lightened their stock by buying 3 (we have some under our kitchen cupboards for pelmet lights and replaced 2 in the last year).

Half a dozen in our local store, so I bought 5.
Good work Paul.

Ironically I only found it on line as I was searching for an 18" 15w tube for pelmet lights also in kitchen but they didn't list that size.

Re: 8w fluorescent tubes at Homebase
I notice that they are cool white and our under wall cupboard lights are warm.
What would you recommend to replace these with LEDs. I bought an LED strip about 2 years ago but it it was rather dim although it's in use above a cupboard corner unit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Fred

I find warm white ones too yellow so I'd swop some to cool white.
