Re: scratched window panel
Hi Mike.
When I had a AS symbol with a similar sliding door it went out of line a little. It happens when you shut the door, Sometimes having to shove it quite hard if the van was sloping backwards a bit. Then the top sliding bracket moves ever so slightly that it is hardly noticable.
Might just want easing out a little.

Sliding Door blind rubbing on black panel
The black panel on auto-sleepers is screwed and bonded to the side of the van using wooden battens. The panel can become 'unstuck' in places and bulge out, as it did on mine. It is difficult to re-bond, but can be done if screws are removed and it is prised off carefully, cleaned up and re-bonded with a mastic type adhesive (available from caravan accessory shops). It has to be firmly held in place during cure - I used several elastic luggage straps stretched between the rain gutter and bottom of the van body, with wedges as required to force the panel into position. Alternatively position van adjacent to a wall and use spacers between wall and panel. The battens may need to be re-fixed to the side of the van first and rotten ones will need to be replaced. I also discarded the door blind, which did not operate too well and use a removable sun blind modified to fit the window.
