Tyre covers anyone use them ?
Just wondering if anyone uses tyre covers when their motorhomes are parked up? I'm not sure if silver screens do them, but I see taylormade screen covers sell them in pairs, just thinking if the van is sat up for any length of time over the winter or during breaks how much benefit these actually offer, understand the general idea is to block out UV to help extend the life of the tyre but what do others think?

Not sure I think is is necessary. Why try to extend the life of tyres when they recommend you change them after 5 years anyway, regardless of the tread depth remaining? I think a better preventative is to move your MH at least once a month so flat spots don't occur which would make you replace them early.

I tend to agree they might be a bit of a gimmick, but I understood the 5 year replacment was down to damage caused by UV which hardened the rubber and caused perishing so just wondered if the covers extended this period?
