Oh dear more help please (AS Dorset)
Hi all
About to drive a round trip of 400 miles to look at a Dorset. It looks maybe too good to be true and is advertised under a brokerage system so I would haggle heavily. Advertised as 2004 Dorset with very low mileage. Looks great but some of the research I've done doesn't tie in with the Dorset ( a Marquis special) being built at that time.
Does anyone know if the Dorset's were built in 2004?
It says Dorset on the roof but my grandson could do that.
Or have I spent too much time reading about all the scams?
Thanks paulmold et al for all info regarding scams

Re: Oh dear more help please (AS Dorset)
Before you go ask the broker for the build number from inside the glovebox, all AS's have this. It's the only way to be sure it's genuine. If they can provide it, ring AS and ask for it's build spec details. They will be able to tell you everything about it.
If the broker doesn't have it which is more than likely as Motorhome Depot aren't all that bright at knowing such things, tell them to ring the seller to get it or you'll walk away.
I'm pretty sure they were made in 2004 as that one is on the earlier shape Boxer. There is a Youtube video of a 2004 Dorset that Stewart Longton had for sale here..

Many thanks indeed. Already asked for the AS number in the glovebox and all seems to appear OK now. Just think I may be a tad too cynical. I'm sure it's the age that does it (not the AS, mine)

Hi Rob, I have recently bought a very similar model Marquis (Sussex) , also 2004 and same blue. Which looks identical to the You tube video that Paul posted for you to see.
If i can be be of any help , even though i am still learning , give me a shout.
Cheers, Chris
