Hi Jim
The one on the engine is for your temp gauge, it's the one on the rad you need, if you need it.
Have you checked the relay and the feed to it? the wire from the alternator to the relay has a habit of work hardening and then cracking internally.
Don't get a switch from Renault - too dear, try your local motor factors.

thanks frank ,its jims wife silv here ,i will let him know as soon as he gets in from work (4 ish) need to get it sorted as we dont want her boiling over again, he has done some sort of temperary thing by joining some wires to it and putting a switch on the dashboard ( sorry im not very tecnically minded ) so he can switch it on manually if it starts getting warm but he wants to do it properly , will let you know ,silv.

Re: help needed for parts
Can members with Renault T1000 vehicles please specify which model of Auto-Sleeper they actually own ie Rapport or Recro etc? as T1000 simply refers to the base vehicle and not the actual Auto-Sleeper conversion. Don't seem to sound harsh but we are getting many owners of T1000's registering who do this, as well as Duetto owners who for some unknown reason state Ford Transit instead of Duetto.
this is an 'Auto-Sleeper Forum' not a Renault or Ford forum
Thank You

Re: help needed for parts
I have this problem with RTMR applications. Where the form asks for "Converters Model" I very often get Renault Trafic (or Traffic even!), T1000, Prima etc.
I also get "Auto-sleeper Rainbow" or "Holdsworth Rimini" etc..

No you are on the correct forum site Silv & Jimbo, It's just we like to know the actual Auto-Sleeper models in members side profiles
Boxerman is very knowledgeable with the Traffic based vans and I'm sure he will be able to advise which model yours is

RV50s & Riminis are pop-tops. Looks more like a Rapport, photo's a bit small though

Re: help needed for parts
I suspect many of these models have been repainted and renovated over the years, often resulting in original badges and decals lost...
I'm really not that knowledgeable on these models to be totally honest (except that I see many on my travels) still a good few around!

Does yours match any of these?
