Auto gas Oban Empty Auto gas Oban

Post by bazil Mon Oct 26, 2015 9:07 pm

Just called at the Gleaner filling station on Soroba road, opposite where the Coop used to be, and they have now stopped selling Autogas. It is becoming difficult to find on the West coast!

Cheers

Auto gas Oban Empty No auto gas in the Outer Hebrides

Post by lucasg Tue Nov 03, 2015 6:45 pm

It was available until recently in Stornoway.. But the garage has now stopped selling it.
Shame because the Outer Hebrides now has a network of good camping sites and roadside stops. Plus it's development plan is encouraging camping. Maybe the Comhairlie nan Eilean should make it a planning condition of future fuel stations?

Auto gas Oban Empty Re: Auto gas Oban

All, also noting post a few below about evacuating a filling station due an LPG leak am I reading this correctly that these 'incidents' only affect motorhomes with large/refillable tanks in comparison to 'bottled' gas equipped vans? If so, and noting what I perceive to be a move for 'modern' MH to move away from bottled gas this could have serious implications for trips to more 'remote' locations or am I wrong in this please?
