Gasit underslung tank -Autosleeper
Question please...
On my previous van conversion we had a bottle that you turned the tap off to isolate the gas when ever the gas wasnt required or when travelling.
Our Autosleeper Kingham has an underslung tank but I have no idea how one isolates the tank when travelling apart from the individual gas isolation valves for the water heater, cooker, fridge etc ...is there a mains tap to turn off...if so where ?
Thank you in advance

Undo the tank cover and remove it, then you will find a knob to turn and switch off the gas supply.

Thank you for that - my next question is are you then supposed to isolate the tank each and every time that you are on the road as one does in the previous example that I gave ?

I must admit that I don't turn ours off when travelling. Shock and horror will be the response from some on here but there I go
There is another valve on the regulator which again requires crawling under the van. I used the Chunnel earlier this year and they were quite happy with the regulator valve being switched off which saved me taking the cover off the tank.

As jaytee says, there is another valve alongside the gas tank which is yellow, this also isolates gas to the appliances. This one I believe is used for gas pressure tests.
I also admit I only turn off the onboard gas valves when on the move (not good practice) it's the lazy way.
When crossing the channel, I always isolate the main valve.
Leighton.
