Marquis are quoting me £225 for a habitation service on my 2014 Nuevo. Catterick Caravans are quoting £99. I'm very new to this game and was wondering how much other folk are paying

Spinney also do habitation service for £99. Mobile engineers are around the same price. Remember that the appliances are only checked for operation and are not 'serviced' unless you ask and that would be extra. If you bought from Marquis be careful that their warranty doesn't insist that habitation service be done by them or it could void your warranty.

What Paul said, but I think (?) if a mobile engineer is properly qualified to stamp your service record, and uses OEM parts if required, then your warranty will not be affected.

Don't take my word for it though. Do a bit of checking first - but £225 is way too much!!

I think £225 by Marquis is high. Our first habitation check was carried out by Auto-sleepers in March 2015 and the cost was £174.50. This was for our 2014 Broadway EB. We chose AS as we are lucky to live within 50 miles of them, and we enjoy visiting the Cotswolds.

Hope this helps

I booked our 'van in to A/S for repairs to the Heki 2 yesterday and asked for a habitation service whilst it's in there.
At least I now have an idea of how much it'll cost.    snigger

I was told a few years ago by a very old established and respectable caravan dealer these prices of £120 plus were the rate for Caravans  (later confirmed by another dealer) where there is more work involved due to hitch brakes and chassis items being included.   The rate at that time for motorhomes was sub £100 think we were paying about £95 all inclusive and not VAT extra like one motorhome dealer round here does (99+vat)

You dont say where you are in the N.West but a mobile would be my choice, after having a "dealer" do it this year, back to my mobile guy in future- much more relaible.
