VW T4 Trooper respray
all. After having my Trooper for some time now and it has been fantastically reliable. Its in excellent condition, with no rust for a 1993 model however, I managed to run it into a gate post and damage the side. I decided to have the van repaired at my local body shop who quoted my £800 to do a complete side. My thoughts, what would be the price for it all? £3000 plus the £800 from the insurance. Heck take the plunge and lets do it.
I have posted some pictures below, I also replaced the wheels, bumpers and other trim, the fridge vents and electric plug. I have replaced the AS symbol on the bonnet and the 'Trooper' logo on the sides but not the original stripes. I may do that later but think the solid white looks a little more modern.
Feels like I have a new van
Interior next, my sister is in the interior recovering trade but the fabric is no longer available. Thinking of leather in a brown to match the carpet and roof lining

All the work is first class and completed on time.

Looks fabulous. I'd leave it like that if it were mine. A lot of people on here prize originality, but these older VWs respond really well to some gentle reworking.

Hi there, looking good, nice to see a respray done properly ie removing all removable panels.
Bet you wont be parking in a supermarket car park any more.

On my earlier post I had the windscreen leak sorted but having the roof and A pillars replaced and sprayed (1500)
so now my van should be a good one externally
