53 Reg Nuevo, two Talismans and a Gatcombe sited around the harbour site and across the road in the walled garden.
Forecasted for better weather tomorrow, so hope to see some of you ?

You are obviously moving further into Galloway.
So where to next? campers
Maybe New England Bay or Portpatrick!
Weather looks like it is improving sun though this year nothing is certain.
We have returned from a few days on Arran but chose Whit week thinking it would be quiet with the Scottish schools back after the late May b/h. Wrong! Arran with the ferries now doing 'van & two people return for £45 was busy with those of us on breaks from south of the border.
Also with the very variable weather conditions rainyday unless you had good protective gear a soaking and wind-blow keep_cool were in order.
Still a final day at Ayr's Cragie Gardens sheltered from the wind made a nice end to the mini trip.

Hi Fred
Nice morning, still sunny albeit breezy, really nice spot here by the sea wall, we have walked around the coast away from the village and just love the scenery, reminds us of Bute.
Your right we are heading for New England bay, then up the Ayrshire coast to Killin.
The in-laws head stones will require a good clean as we didn't make it up last year.
Lots of history in this we village, especially around the Mulberry harbour pontoons, I noticed a couple of "Mulbery pontoon Beetles rusting away on the opposite side of the bay.
This is a lovely wee site and village.

Hi Boaby
Enjoy NEB, when are you there?
A must  to visit is The Mull of Galloway, roads narrow after Drummore but with care (there are numerous passing places) you will be ok there is quite an exposed farm cl on the road to the Mull flat & clean, not sure of surface condition. Food in Gallie Craig good. Make sure to ask for hot plates if having anything cooked!
This area really needs several days to do it justice or even live here though the wind can sometimes get one down.
A good book about the Mulberry harbours is 'A Harbour goes to War:The Story of Mulberry and the Men Who Made it Happen'
easily found on a google search

There has been a few of you along that coast in the last week or so.    First year we will not have been up.

We too like NEB and local pubs for grub

You wont have any problem getting the van along the narrow road to the lighthouse, the Windsor gets up there on its own its been that often !!

Just met Boaby (and his good Lady) in our local Morrisons
Enjoy the rest of your Tour.
Hope you have appreciate the delights of this part of our United Kingdom.
Better now the sun  has made an appearance and the keep_cool has abated to a Zepher
Lets hope this continues to the end of August to the benefit of all those who might be able to make their way to enjoy the 3rd Lowland Gathering and other events. camper

Hi Ric
Just returned to Stranrear to stock up on things, really nice to have met you and your good lady too! We are heading up the coast a wee bit, we had a full week of sunshine down at NEB.
If you have dogs, this is the place to be.
Will p.m later Ric .

Hi Ricky
We have tried the C&C wifi and find it duff and usually our 3 wifi works well, however it didn't so we went of the grid for a week.
We are up in Ayrshire at the Culzean castle camping club site, excellent wifi as our 3 wifi isn't performing here either.
A 63 Broadway on the other side of the site, 08 Symbol just pulled in next pitch to us and a G Reg rhapsody looks like its been here for ever.
