Water tank filler cap on Duetto
Hi, I am having trouble removing the water tank filler cap. I have turned the key to the unlock position, pushed in the filler cap but it will not release. I have now tried about 8 times. I have sprayed the lock with WD40 which made no difference. The key goes fully in and will lock with the slight turn of the cap. This cap has not been off since September last year. Any suggestions gratefully received. Janet and Brian.

Re: Water tank filler cap on Duetto
Although you refer to having the same cap last season, my replacement waterfill cap is counter intuitive. The key turns clockwise to unlock and the cap then twists anti-clockwise to remove.

Re: Water tank filler cap on Duetto
You don't say which version of Duetto you have. The ones on the MK4 and 5 Transits had the sort of filler (black, with a three legged central griper) that required a good push inwards to free them before they would come loose. I don't know about the MK6, but the MK7 had the sort of cap which would turn very easily with the key and without the need for an inward push.
