Avtex Remote
Just wondered if anyone has an remote for an Avtex W102D tried Avtex, Autosleeper, all the Avtex dealers and e,bay with no joy, or if not anyone used another compatable remote that will operate the W102D.

Re: Avtex Remote
Hi there
Probably NOT relevant but we use our Avtex with a Satellite Receiver and unfortunately they both seem to be on the same wavelength for their Remotes!!
As a result, we have blanked off the infra-red receiver on the Avtex and switch it on using the manual buttons. We then just use the Satellite Receiver Remote to change channels, adjust volume etc.
Hope this helps, but I think it is answering a different problem.
Best regards,

Re: Avtex Remote
This seller on eBay has them for the W103D here so might be worth contacting him http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=111415263745
Otherwise why not just get a universal remote control that's compatible with Avtex just for channel changing and volume control, then for the more complex functions like auto tune etc just use the buttons on the TV itself maybe

I agree with CC. That seller sells the RM Series remotes. We got one from him for a cheap Matsui TV and it is a full replica of the original with all functions working.

Re: Avtex Remote
On our Avtex 164DR the buttons on the TV do not let you change country. I left our RC at home, went to France and then could not get French TV until I found someone with an Avtex TV and could borrow their RC. Once I had changed country I could tune in the staions as we moved around but without that ..... I was stuck with the UK system. AFAIK I got to the point of scrolling through the list of countries but without the RC had no "OK" button to select France.Cruising Comet wrote:This seller on eBay has them for the W103D here so might be worth contacting him http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=111415263745

Hi,
I'm not a home at the moment but would be happy to send my W102D remote to your ebay contact to clone if they are unable to source one from elsewhere.

Re: Avtex Remote
If you can borrow a remote then you don't need to send it to someone on Ebay to copy - there are numerous "learning" remote controls on the market where you can copy a remote (or multiple remotes) with a few presses of a button. The last one I bought cost less than £3 including shipping, and it works extremely well!
