Internal lights and tv reception
Anyone else having a problem with the internal lights and TV?
When I turn on my centre lights in the MH the TV picture goes wonkey. It does not happen on all the centre lights.
I am using the aerial supplied with the motor home. It is a digital aerial.
Thoughts please.

If the lamps are Lumo round dome ones (Crown), AS fit the version with the mini flourescent tubes not halogen G4 bulbs. In my Gloucester anyway. If they are failing they will give off radio emissions, and interfere with the tv.

Hi
If the tube doesn't fix it, have there been any changes to you electrical system or wiring recently – even if not obviously connected to the lights or the TV?

It's an EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) problem. I don't know how common this particular problem is but EMC problems are incredibly common nowadays. Sometimes easy and sometimes an absolute pig to fix (no offence to innocent four legged creatures).skyrakes wrote:Anyone else having a problem with the internal lights and TV?
I agree. All fluorescent lamps generate some level of interference and a faulty fluorescent tube (of any shape) is a likely culprit. I'd try repacing the tube(s) in the offending lamp first.PLOUGHLIN wrote:I AS fit the version with the mini fluorescent tubes not halogen G4 bulbs.
There is no such thing as a “Digital” aerial! just aerials, some better than others.skyrakes wrote:I am using the aerial supplied with the motor home. It is a digital aerial.

Thanks
I will have a check this week. I will swap the bulbs over to see if the problems moves with the bulb.
