Lumbar Support Empty Lumbar Support

Post by Brian_K Fri Feb 20, 2015 9:15 pm

To make longer distance travelling a little more comfortable for the two rear seat passengers (2004 AS Symbol ES), would anyone know if the lumbar support and head rest shown in the picture are commercially available? Or has anyone done something similar?

Never seen these but thanks for posting - it's inspired me to make them for my car.

If they turn out OK you may have a customer  smile!

I've gone for some 16" duck down scatter cushions (in the hope they can act a a lumbar support if required), will have to wait until I do a decent length trip to find out what the jury say.

At those prices it's not worth making lumbar cushions but I may experiment with head/neck cushions as I am too short for standard headrests to be any use.
Thanks guys for the idea and the links.

I liked the look of those, bit of quality and look comfortable (as does the lumbar support). I will give AS a ring on Monday.

I use a head support from a lafuma lounger as a lumber support when driving. It works very well.
