Re: Dealership for sale
Hi Paul very interesting....reading the sales agents details it has to be motor plus....Brian ' the owner is not getting younger and has fingers in a few businesses.
Just hope to high heavens that Marquis don't buy it !!
We , as motorhomers, desperately need top class independent dealers like motor plus,
I have bought two vans from motor plus and the after sales /warranty work has been excellent.

Yes I agree it has to be Motorplus. Their website mentions the 27,000 sq ft showroom and of course having the whole range of one manufacturer again points to Motorplus. With no showroom at Willersey AS need somewhere to display the whole range and Marquis taking it would make sense. It sounds from the as that they just want a new owner with existing staffing remaining in place.

Re: Dealership for sale
you are right....Tim Lemmon sales manager....and mark...aftersales are good guys. and are clearly part of the deal....will chat to them at the NEC show in feb...are you going ?
It would be disastrous if Brownhills get the franchise...they have been bust at least twice with buyers deposits down the tubes !.
SMS in Newark now stock A S vans...they are the closest dealers I think.

Re: Dealership for sale
Be a shame to see Motorplus go if the above is true, out of all the dealerships they seem to be the most professional.
Think it's pretty inevitable with their close ties with Auto-Sleepers that this will be taken by Marquis but will be intresting to see who gets it if they don't

Re: Dealership for sale
spoke with mark..(.after sales manager) yesterday and he confirmed that there is a potential management buy out in progress.
He confirmed that the business will not be sold to Marquis and was in the process of preparing a press release confirming the business is in good health ..to quell any negative rumours.
Motor Plus will be on the A S stand at the NEC this month.
