new locks and keys

i have recently purchased a 1991 talbot express autosleeper talisman, and unfortunetly all cupboard keys are missing ie gas locker wc locker and water inlet as well as fuel cap key - can these be purchased seperately and do i have to drill all the barrels to get them out- any help most appreciated....Berny

I suspect the answer is "it depends". There is a strong chance that some of the locks are of the old "FP" and "FS" series produced years back by Wilmot Breedon. These are still available providing, of course, you know the number of them. In some applications, such as my old Austin A35, the number was stamped on the barrel for all to see: not great for security but particularly useful in situations such as this. Production of this and other series of locks were taken over by Weston Body Hardware (WBH) located in my home town of Redditch. I think if you took the locks off a locksmith would be able to identify the keys.

When you want the barrels out they wont, when you dont want them to come out they do (as I have found on our underfloor locker!)
