It's license renewal time , but not sure of the subject weight. I currently have a C1 Lic. From a previous M/H but donot want too go through all the medical examinations etc. The VC5 states that the maxPLG weight is 3500kg, but that's its max with user payload. AS state that their Warwick Duo MRO is 2938 with 562 payload. The Sussex does have additional weight with the air con unit fitted. Are there any Sussex owners out there that can give me a rough figure before I renew my Lic. Thanks

This gives weight info you need. Remember once you lose C1 license you will need to pass a a driving test to regain it. You also lose the higher towing rights, and will be limited to 750kg max including trailer weight.

Are you sure about that, Ploughlin?  How do 70+ caravanners get on?

If you self certify after age 70, you get a B licence. If you do the medical you retain your original towing rights. Caravanners easily come into the last part of quote. Motorhomes with the heavier tow vehicle struggle.

Category B vehicles may be coupled with a trailer up to 750kg MAM (allowing a combined weight up to 4,250kg MAM) or a trailer over 750kg MAM provided the MAM of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the towing vehicle, and the combination does not exceed 3,500kg MAM."
