Solar panel on a Northants / Bourton
Hi, I hope someone can help me work out if my Northants is fitted with the standard 30w solar panel as fitted by the factory or has the larger optional 80w panel. I have spoken to the factory and given them the serial number of my van but they were unable to help. The panel is about 4' x 2' and has a separate display / controller in the wardrobe rather than being fed directly into the Sergent panel. If you have a factory fitted solar panel please can you let me know about yours. As you will have guessed I bought the van pre loved - it's a 2011 model. I will post some photos later this week when I get back home. Thanks Martin

Re: Solar panel on a Northants / Bourton
Hi there,
I don't know the model of van but at four feet (1200mm) by two feet (600mm) the solar panel should be well over 30W.
A 100W Biard is 1200mm x 540mm x 30mm thick so I would expect the one you describe to be the 80W model.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

I agree with Dutto on that size being the 80w having just had an 80 fitted which is about the same size.

However, the fact that it is not wired into the Sargent unit appears to suggest an after-market fitting.

Afaik the factory fitted solar panels started with the 2013 models and were not even an option in 2012 or 2011.
