Broadway EL drop down TV mount in locker
Hi all....
Could anyone with an End Lounge Broadway 2008 to 2012 with the drop down TV mount as shown here possibly be kind enough to show a photo of the TV bracket as fitted by AutoSleepers ?
As with our previous AutoSleeper Nuevo the tight sod who previously owned the Broadway stripped the van bare of everything including the TV bracket! Not to mention the crockery and wine glasses etc! (Which marquis have since sorted / sorting) Why do people feel they have the right to do this? Would these same people accept this if when they purchased the motorhome from AutoSleepers these things were not provided?
I'm particularly annoyed about the TV bracket as even Marquis appear to be having trouble sourcing one that is slim enough to mount the TV on ensuring that it packs away into the drop down cupboard as its a tight fit as it is with the 18" Avtex TV we have.
Out of interest....
has anyone had this locker converted back to a standard locker? The TV function is a good idea but at the cost of valuable storage space in what is one of the larger lockers... I'd be happy for the TV to be mounted on the wardrobe wall and have the locker converted back and is something I might enquire about with Autosleeper at the Willersey service centre when next that way.

Re: Broadway EL drop down TV mount in locker
We had a similar problem when we had the same van. The previous owner kept the Avtex Tv which was a 16" I believe and although the bracket was fitted it wasn't the original so our TV (16") would not fit.
We found one through google but unfortunately can't remember the make but was slim enough and was multi directional so you could have the TV in any position.
Not a big fan of the drop down feature but better concealed than on show.

We dont use a tv at the moment so have removed the bracket and use the area to store loo rolls, kitchen roll, wine bottles.
I will dig out the bracket and photo from various angles
PM me an e-mail address to send then to.

Thanks Backtrax... Sorry for the delay I've not been on for several days! Will send you a PM with details
I would think this Avtex mount would be perfect
I've contacted Alan at the AutoSleepers parts desk but he's told me there was no bracket used and that the TV was secured directly to the drop down mechanism which I find hard to understand as the holes present do not go right through the wood and if this were the case the viewing angle wouldn't be right.
Marquis were trying to source an Avtex bracket but not sure which model... I've looked at them all and the one pictured seems to be the only type that is slim enough to work. Just hope that's the one they are getting. If the previous owner had left the bracket I wouldn't have all this inconvenience "the tightwad" as well as having to source an F connector to coax patch lead that had also been removed!

Why OH Why, bother ? having 2011 Nuevo we have done away with the bracket its an eyesore/afterthought , we store the Avtex in a t.v holdall style zipped bag wires and all it travels behind the pass: seat, when in use is tidily suspended on the passenger seat backrest with pretty rope!! seat turned of course. looks tidy all day - saves space---we recon !! Sitting surrounded with cushions against wardrobe-feet up boots off H I D tuther side, can swap if sun shines in !! Brian K.

From what you describe CC its sounds like the standard 2piece wall bracket (half on wall/half on tv) I will have a look to see if I can find any pictures later but most the TV providers sell them. I bought a spare to use half of it to make a free standing TV bracket

Nice to see you've not lost your sense of humour Brian
What happened to your Nuevosleeper account? And where have you been hiding all this time?
Thanks for the tip... But, I can't think of anything worse than having to get the TV out or pack it away every time you move the motorhome... Also your suggested location wouldn't work in an end lounge layout, the location of the TV is fine as it is in the Broadway as a 12v power socket is located close by, as is the aerial input for both rooftop aerial and outdoor aerial hookup.
As soon as I can get setup with a suitable bracket then at least I'll be able to get the TV mounted and out of the way. Marquis are sorting this and have apparently ordered one, as they have a few other minor bits to sort out.
I can maybe understand the previous owner taking the TV out (although I left mine in the Nuevo when it was sold... Along with cushions, crockery, & wine glasses I might add!) but they could have had the decency to leave the flippin TV bracket and coax patch lead!
They also kept the 3 rubber plugs from the bathroom!
Hmmm... Anyone on the forum I wonder?
