Fiamma awning fitting to a Duetto
Hi,
I have recently purchased a Fiamma awning for my 2001 Duetto. I was advised at the NEC Motorhome show to check with Autosleeper as to the position of the backing boards in the high top of the van before fitting the awning. I have tried this but have been informed that fitting one of these is not a diy job and they won't supply the information. I find this strange as it's a simple fitting.
Can anyone help with this info ?

Re: Fiamma awning fitting to a Duetto
Odd. I've recently fitted one to our Trident and AS gave me the information.
Having said that, the dimensions they gave me were not quite right. You'll have to get the roof lining off anyhow to tighten up the bolts. Once off you'll be able to see the reinforcing blocks and may be able to figure out the locations yourself.
I made up some much larger 'washers' to spread the load better - I would recommend this.
Also, on the Trident you need some spacer wedges to bring the awning up to level - AS sold me these - not cheap though!
