Good news re C@CC

When at the Lincoln show yesterday, spoke to a guy on the [email=C@CC]C@CC[/email] stand, saying about their price structure ,prices etc. apparently it is changing, he admitted that they had got it wrong big time. Trying to work like the hotels do.

The shoulder season is no more, age concessions will be on more sites and for more weeks  in the year, when that can be used. Plus other alterations, also you will know what it will cost before checkout. At least he admitted they had got it wrong, he and others said so at the meetings in the first place  but no one higher up takes any notice of what they have to say.  will those at the top do so now admit they were wrong ? don`t think so somehow, it should be in the new book when it comes out.

He said they are still the friendly one and the best one.

Just shows pays to complain with your feet, or wheels in our case.

When they rang me up early in the year to "remind" me that as I had cancelled my direct debit, my membership was due to expire, I explained why I would not be renewing and asked that the reason would be recorded.

I wonder how many others did the same as us? and how many members they lost. I've joined the CC now and so far am quite happy to stay with them.

We're are in both clubs, however after being refused a refund after cancelling a site due to unforeseen van problems.
We will not be renewing with the CC &C next year.

I recon they have lost bookings as well as members this year. Will be interesting to hear excuses.

My Husband mentioned that they were not any refunds or a voucher if you had to leave a pitch early and the guy said that was being looked in to.
According to this guy, they have lost a heck of a lot of members, and has made a huge difference to them, hence the changes.
We are in both, but I think the CC are more for caravans and it is too regimental for my liking, we are on holiday after all.

As for the [email=C@CC]C@CC[/email] I asked about reversing to the little stick, and the way round when parking up, it is not set in stone, it is up to the individual wardens.

C&CC internet access to sites is rubbish.  They still have not sent me any paper info, despite having paid extra.  When I first joined, I pointed out that their site-finder was faulty. they agreed, and looked into it.  Today, I tried it again and was given a resort on the North Devon coast as being within 20 miles of Swansea.  Of course, in our past life as sailors, that was indeed the case... But in an Autosleeper?  Noooo!  Safer to go the land route, over the Severn Bridge, I think!... though that increases the mileage more than somewhat!  I wonder if I'll get a full refund of my totally wasted money?
