Mercedes As
I have seen a AS Mercedes Auto.Northants on a 12 plate it has done 1400 miles approx and appears to have a lot of added kit mostly to allow you to get TV reception and many channels. The seller who is a dealer is looking for £45,995 I first spotted it about 5 weeks ago and I thought it would have been snapped up but it is still on the market I spoke to the dealer who said the van is imacculate and would have cost around £70,000 in 2012.It is a long way from me so I cant just nip out to see it.Would the dealers price be about right ? Is there any particular questions I should ask the dealers. Thanks

Re: Mercedes As
Sorry cant give you a lot of info there arnt many of these about. The Merc based vans are very popular, and sales seem to be increasing with AS owners as being an upmarket option from the Pug X250s
There is a link here with some prices from the AS Web Site

Re: Mercedes As
I think the dealers estimate of the original cost is a tad high, but I have no doubt is is a nice van. See below link

Re: Mercedes As
I saw this add after I ordered a new Bourton. I had not been able to find a newish second hand one. Looks a good buy to me with all the extras and the mileage. I would imagine it would have been in the 65 to 70 k price range. I' m amazed it's not sold, I wonder why.....???

Re: Mercedes As
When we bought our Lancashire we looked at the Bourton which is I think the dame as the Northants. With auto transmission and aircon but no satellite dish I recall it would have been a little over 60k so 70 sounds high. If my 60k is right then I would have thought that 42 to 45k would be fair now.
There is one on the web with 4000 miles, 2011 at 42k.

Re: Mercedes As
I have a 2014 reg Bourton with upgraded solar panel and habitation air con and full winter pack with heated tanks, upgraded heater and insulation and is still only priced at £65,000 new so the dealers estimate of £70,000 for a 2012 is way out, but his asking price is probably about right.

Re: Mercedes As
Last November we bought a Merc Northants (auto) with 7600 miles for £39,000 from a dealer if that helps you gauge the price. It was and still is like new. Regards Martin.
