Scuttle guard
Hi Guys first of all my apologies if this is the incorrect way to find info as this is my first post.
Re Fitting a Scuttle guard to prevent ingress of rain water onto injectors.
Having read an old posting from Jenian 2011-06-03 re this subject any information would be welcome as to how to prevent water ingress into the engine compartment of my 05 Duetto.
Many thanks in advance Chez

Hi Welcome to the forum.
I fitted a left hand plastic water pipe from the scuttle.
Maybe you can do something similar on your vehicle.

Hi Chester
Reckon yours is a mk 6 tranny.....if so water from screen flows down screen under plastic wiper trim n into gutter n down pipe......poor system...... If sealing around wiper drive/heater intake gutter joints is poor injectors/ head will flood. Check n replace/ reseal...ford use foam strip / cardboard for same...hopeless.....water still flows in at left n right outer points. And soaks air box and washer bottle...check it out by removing wiper trim.....hope this helps dave h
