Welcome Barry. Hope you manage to find a van soon. Then you will know why us folks are so keen on motorhoming.

Hello Barry
Welcome to our forum,
It's a great idea to get info from a forum like ours prior to buying a van.
I'm sure you'll get loads of advice and hopefully end up with a van that's just right for you.

Thank you for your warm reception. I am looking to convert a large panel van (iveco) to a camper van. Ideally I would like to buy a secondhand left hand drive van as it will be used in Europe.

Welcome.
Don't worry about driving with a RH drive in Europe. You are high enough up to see over most of the traffic in a van.

Panel van conversion
Thank you for your response(s). Does anybody know of any competant companies or individuals willing to undertake a conversion of a large panel van. I am looking for a fairly basic fitting out job (no plumbed in showers or toilet facilities). I will be staying in camping sites, and will use their facilities. My priority is to keep vehicle weight to a minimum so I can maximise fuel efficiency.

What area are you in, that might help with suggestions for converters.
