Can you have a directional aerial fitted to a motorhome the static one is useless thamks

Yes I have one, it was on the motor home when I bought it, I still have the other one, ( useless one ) so two on the roof, I think they could have taken the old one off, as only the directional is wired up to work.

There are proprietary blanking plates available if you want to remove the redundant aerial.

Yes I realise that, but as I cannot get up onto the roof, it would mean paying someone to do it, as it is not that important at the moment will leave it for another time.

How easy is it to fit a directional aerial or is it best to have it done properly

It depends: You can buy a kit from someone like Vision Plus, that can be clamped to your ladder at site if you have one and just pass the cable through a window, or you could spend a lot of money to have one fitted permanently on the roof.

Mine has the winding handle in the defunct tv cabinet above the cocktail cabinet, sometimes they are put in a wardrobe like the caravan has
