changing T/H lamps for LEDs

I would like to change my halogen spot lamps in the lounge area of my van for something less harsh. Has any body changed the halogen lamps in the spot light fittings for LEDs or will i have to change the compleat fitting.

I put a 'lightrabbit 'MR16-S20W-WW in one of my halogen sockets. It was left over from a batch a bought for the bathroom. The pins were slighty wider than the one i took out but it fitted tightly and has not fallen out.

It looks a bit big compared the other lights but is really bright and uses only 4 Watts. It's usually the only one I put on in the lounge area.

Straight swap.  Expensive but reassured that they come complete with their own voltage regulator and heat-sink.

Two years and no problems.
