Warwick duo sat dish
Hi all anyone out there that uses a multimo on the roof and how do you attach it ,cheers.Scotty

Not on my current van but used to put the Multimo throu the skylight, thrown the cable to the ground and connected to the outside point then arms through the skylight and set it up. Not easy but if staying in one place fir a few days it stopped the opportunist from pinching the dish.

Cheers Johnh thats what i was going to do,then isaw that they do a quick release clamp so i thought i would try andfix it to the roof bar leaving the clamp there to make it easy.just wondered if any body had already done this?

I've got the quick release clamp for sale but it comes complete with the dish and I don't want to split. You can probably still buy a new one and I think that mine cost £16.
I persevered with the Multimo for several years and eventually fitted a Camos Dome.I would never go back to a manual dish with all the problems of aligning and setting up, as well as the constant fear that someone will nick the £150 dish overnight. Bite the bullet and install a roof mounted automatic dish and revel in the experience of pushing a button and 30 seconds later being able to watch TV. You won't regret it.

A question for you please. Can you say how far north, south and east you can go with your dish and get a decent signal?

We've been as far north as the Outer Hebrides and Ullapool and just returning from the Dordogne and got all the main channels. I think the Dordogne is the southern limit and North Scotland now has a stronger signal with the new Australia satellite so the far north shouldn't be a problem.

No, it's with a 30cm Camos. But from my previous experience with a Multimo I would expect similar results. In fact we picked up programmes with it down as far as the Med a few years ago. But with the the recent satellite change the southern limit in France would probably now be the Dordogne on a clear day.
Skew angle on the lnb is all important when on the fringe of the reception area. The angle in Western France is similar to that in the UK and I would expect that, without an adjustment to the skew, the southern limit would rise the further east in France you travel. Skew adjustment on the Multimo is easy, but not so on the Camos unless it's a model with auto skew.
