HELLO folks.
I never know what to write on forums but here goes. We have a 2003 Symbol ES (Extra Space)2.0 hdi. which we got in June 2010, with only 16k on the clock the interior was like new. It also came with cycle rack and large box on one side very useful for ramps grey water container eh cable etc.
First job when we got it home was to strip out all the excess which included all the double bed cushions and metal wear, the large table from behind the n/s rear seat and the plastic bowl shaped thingy from the front of the closet I covered the hole with a piece of hardboard our tv now lives there.
Mods so far fitted a Gaslo lpg system, modified the leisure battery mount plate under the drivers seat and fitted a 100ah elecsol leisure battery, plug in 40w solar panel.
Not so good things can't get more than 27mpg, it doesn't like supermarket diesel, the flywheel has started making funny noises. Rust, when fitting the Gaslo system I had a good look under the van and was quite disappointed by the amount of rust on the chassis so many a day over the last few weeks I've been underneath with wire brush and waxoil.
The good things, we just love it being a van we can just about go anywhere any time and having a a large door on the side is like having patio doors at home we can sit inside looking out or sit outside looking in.
Done about 3.5k so far.
Great forum picked up quite tips from it.
Cheers for now.

Re: HELLO folks.
Welcome from another Symbol owner.
I would be interested in details of how you fitted the Gaslow - particularly where you fitted the filler. pics?
