Hello from the Scottish Borders Empty Hello from the Scottish Borders

Post by gm4cid Wed Apr 02, 2014 8:38 pm

Greetings from Bob located near Melrose in the Scottish Borders, stumbled across this interesting and friendly forum while idly web browsing AS related topics.

We have changed from a LHD Hymer B584 enjoyed for 6 years to a golden 2006 T5 Trident, a most interesting adjustment, lots of advantages and disadvantages in the instance of each vehicle type but we are happy with the change now as a drive-away awning has been added for summer evening lounging. Biggest miss is no little room.

First camper owned for many years was a 1983 petrol Holdsworth Romance pop-top with canvas Harrison drive-away awning, many great holidays with our four children. Interestingly the Hymer was much more economical on fuel than the smaller Holdsworth.

Holidays have mostly been to the north of Scotland and Outer Hebrides but now that all the family have flown the nest we expect to travel further afoot.

Off to the Island of Mull for a few days tomorrow  allthumbz .

Regards, Bob

Hi Bob
Welcome to the forum from foggy Bridlington, hope you have a nice trip to Mull, we had four days there last August under low cloud.
