12v lighting problem on Nuevo ES 2006 Empty 12v lighting problem on Nuevo ES 2006

Hello,

Just noticed an odd problem with the 12v lighting in our Autosleeper Nuevo ES 2006. We have 7 of these oblong interior lights (Ellipse?) with 2 tubes per light and each light has it's own switch, but only 2 out of 7 lights are now working, one rear roof one and one by seats/bed. So 5 not working. I quickly swapped a tube from non working to working to check that and tube is OK.

I checked the fuses under drivers seat (leisure battery) and they are all ok and I even took back off zig unit (in wardrobe) incase fuses are in there, but no fuses.

Just wondering if there are any other fuses to check, but it is odd 2 lights work and 5 don't. All the lights were working last year when I last checked them.

Thanks for reading my problem and any ideas gratefully received.

many thanks,

                    Steve.

Its a long shot, but are the 2 thats working on a different circuit ? and those not working connected to a lighting isolation switch normally located near the habitation door, allowing you to switch all off or on whilst entering or leaving the van

They could all be looped Steve.

i.e. they are all 'piggy-backed ' off each other- it could be that after your second working light there is a break in the circuit?

Thanks for the replys.

Think you could be right Derek, I have had a play today and ran a positive wire  from the working rear roof light (kitchen area) to the centre light and hey presto, it worked and all the other roof lights worked and the 2 in the luton. So positive to centre roof light looks broken to me.

I did notice that the centre and front roof lights (only looked at these) have 2 positive wires connected thus appears that these feed the other lights.

Think I need to run a new positive to the centre roof light and hopefully can wire into the lighting wiring in wardrobe, to fix it.

Check that all connections are good to last light that works and to firdt one that does not. It could be corrosion in one of the connections.  You are looking for a connector that has two positive connections - in from last and out to next.  Do you have a voltmeter? If not you can get one for about £5 from Maplin or Amazon.
